  • Contact me at the Booker T. Washington Center organization and arrange  times and dates to do your service. 
  • Complete your required service hours before the date indicated by a judge, university or supervisor. 
  • Community service means that you are court ordered or volunteer to serve the community by working in non-profit
    settings. Non-profit settings include schools, churches, government
    agencies, social service agencies, town/city offices.

DEPARTMENT AREAS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE

GROUNDSKEEPING

The activity of tending an area of land for aesthetic or functional purposes; typically including mowing grass, trimming hedges, pulling weeds, planting flowers, etc.

MAINTENANCE

Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, etc. Maintain grounds, including garden and yard upkeep, trimming, edging, mowing lawn, collecting trash, etc. Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc.

JANITORIAL

Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include tending furnace and boiler, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.
